Previous workshops include:
You are done with your past.
You feel stuck in your present.
You aren't sure where to go in your future.
This workshop gives you an opportunity to stand at your crossroads, look to your future and design your plan for moving forward.
How do you continue to find meaning and purpose as you get older? How do you take your life experiences and knowledge and use them to spark your passion? How do you prepare for retirement or what's next?
Why are some people seemingly able to move through life facing challenges while others seem to "give up"? This workshop outlines strategies to help build resilience especially as we grow older.
SoulCollage® uses the language of images and symbols for self-expression and discovery. Images cut from magazines and other printed materials are moved around until the right ones are found and glued onto an 8x5 card. Cards are made and used intuitively to illuminate and deepen your self-understanding.
These intensives are half- to full-day sessions
Direct Action Organizing empowers people to take collective action on their own. As developed by the Midwest Academy (Jerry is a certified facilitator for almost 20 years) it focuses on starting with policy goals, strategy, resource considerations, key allies and opponents, targeting key decision makers, issue framing, and lastly tactics and timing to engage. DAO is appropriate for groups, agencies and programs which want to make an impact and affect change.
Based on the materials developed by AARP and the Center for Practical Ethics, this program helps people make decisions to maintain their quality of life as they anticipate how their life will change. Participants will develop value statements, Advanced Directives, and Durable Powers of Attorney.
These events are for women and those who identify as such who are moving into mid-life and older.
As women grow older, they experience great personal change. Menopause, changes in our families or employment all have an impact on us and remind us we are becoming Crones.
In COMING TO CRONE: A JOURNEY TO SELF, women are given the opportunity to celebrate their unique gifts and make the journey to their 'authentic' selves.
Taking lessons from artists, you will see life transitions as a creative process
